From Sketch to Reality: A Spanish Celebration in an Italian Castle

A weekend of color, joy, and slow luxury

This wedding was pure Mediterranean joy: a celebration that blended Spanish warmth with Italian charm in the heart of the Euganean Hills, just outside Padua.
She’s from Catalonia, he’s from Valencia, and together they brought to Italy a burst of color, laughter, and authentic tradition.

Guests were invited to spend an entire long weekend in a centuries-old castle surrounded by greenery: the perfect “slow luxury” experience. Between dips in the pool, walks through the vineyards, and local tastings, everyone had time to enjoy, connect, and celebrate in a relaxed yet refined atmosphere.

The celebration: three days of love and togetherness

The festivities started the evening before the wedding with a laid-back pizza night and aperitivo in the castle garden, complete with a pizza ape-truck and music.
The wedding day itself was filled with elegance and emotion, while the day after was all about togetherness: the newlyweds cooked an enormous paella for everyone, turning the goodbye brunch into one last joyful memory.

A floral design that tasted like summer

The floral project reflected the couple’s roots and personalities, elegant yet full of life. We combined, together with the florist, delicate textures and refined tones with vivid accents of oranges, lemons, and even tomatoes, a nod to the groom’s Valencian heritage.
The result was a warm, inviting atmosphere that captured the essence of Mediterranean energy within a timeless Italian setting.

Traditions that travel: Spain meets Italy

Throughout the day, small details told the story of their culture:

  • A hand-embroidered ribbon (“cinta bordada”) was wrapped around the bride’s bouquet, carrying the initials and wishes of loved ones.

  • During dinner, the couple gifted special bouquets to their mothers, a Spanish custom symbolizing gratitude and connection.

  • On the buffet tables, elegant glass porrones — traditional Spanish carafes — were on the tables with wine, a playful reminder of home and that everything can be shared.

The menu was a delicious mix of both worlds: Italian flavors and Spanish favorites, with jamón proudly taking its place among the antipasti.

From sketch to the ceremony

Our first sketch captured the essence of their story: a balance between Mediterranean vibrance and refined castle elegance.
The ceremony setup, held in the castle courtyard, combined soft neutral tones with bursts of citrus in yellow, red, oranges and greenery.
Every element was designed to feel natural, personal, and joyfully imperfect, just like a summer evening among friends.

Personal touches that made it theirs

Every detail spoke of them.
Under each menu, guests found a different card: a hand-drawn illustration and a short note from the couple, unique for every person.
Two friends received a special embroidered gift, a light-hearted hint that maybe their time to say “I do” was coming soon.
The favors — engraved metal artworks made by the groom’s mother — added a heartfelt, artisanal touch, echoed in small design details like the pattern of the groom’s tie.

A slow, joyful kind of luxury

This wedding was the perfect example of how luxury today can be intimate, emotional, and deeply personal.
It wasn’t about opulence: it was about creating time, space, and beauty for people to be together.
A weekend to remember, surrounded by nature, friends, and the quiet magic of Veneto’s hidden treasures.
